I found this last night and the photo is just utterly laughable.
This photo is claimed to be taken by one of the Surveyor probes that went to take pictures of the moon in the 60's prior to the Apollo missions in search of a good "landing site."

Naturally, they turned the camera to look back at earth, and this is what they got...LOL.

The video is pretty funny too.

I love to look at the obvious in this photo, like the known distances across landmasses.

For example, the USA is 2,800 - 3,000 miles across, depending on the route you take. I have personally clocked it myself many times.

The accepted radius of earth is 4,000 miles, giving a total width across the globe of 8,000 miles.

You can look at that second photo especially, and see that the USA is much too big - there's not enough room left for the rest of the given distance of its radius.
